April 2, 2025 Monthly Meeting Speaker: Katie Worthington Decker

The monthly meeting will be held on Wednesday, April 2, 2025 from 11:30am-1:00pm, at the Cleveland Heights Golf Club.

Lunch will be available for purchase for $25 per person (online or in person).
There is a $1 convenience fee if you pay via credit card.

YOU MUST RSVP BY MONDAY, MARCH 31ST, TO RESERVE YOUR PLATE, IF YOU PLAN TO EAT. We have to give the venue the number of people eating on the Monday before the meeting. Additionally, if you RSVP as “Paying at the Meeting”, you will be obligated to pay the lunch fee even if you do not attend.  Email [email protected] with any questions.

Katie Worthington Decker, Senior Vice President of the Lakeland Economic Development Council, will speak April 2nd to the Republican Club of Lakeland.
Katie is an excellent speaker and is always very informative. Katie said the biggest problems facing Lakeland are infrastructure like roads, traffic, and housing. So whenever you think of the idea of smart growth or intentional growth, what does that look like for Lakeland? We cannot be in denial and just shut the doors to Polk County or Florida.  We have to be honest and get after it and figure out how to use the best community creativity, resources, and talents of our people. This will take eternal vigilance to make Lakeland even a greater place to live and raise our families.
